“It is a pathetic situation when it is a criminal matter as one has to consider some facts and circumstances: When did Tagbo die? Was Davido with him inside the Hilux when he was dumped as claimed by Caroline Danjuma? If not, then where was Davido as at the time of his death and time of his being dumped? To give an expert opinion, one still needs to consider the statements given at the Police Command with Commissioner of Police. The statements of Davido, the escort driver, Tunde Usutu and two of his friends: Agbeje Olaoye and Idris Busari; Caroline Danjuma and other relevant people. The police have a lot to do as regards the telephone conversation of the suspects with Davido on his giving instructions to dump Tagbo. The police will consider the CCTV footages of both clubs where the deceased was dumped or abandoned; check the autopsy report and phone of late Tagbo. All these are vital in criminal culpability of all the prime suspects at the scene of his death with Davido being linked to any criminal offence. In criminal matters, one has to link suspect to the offence, there must be prima facie case to cause their being arraigned in court with Davido. The prosecution must prove beyond reasonable doubt all the elements of the offence (whether murder or manslaughter); the intention and actual act of the suspects during his death or contributing to his death including that of Davido. Davido’s fate is to first establish the defence of alibi that he was at DNA Night club as at time of Tagbo’s death with proof. That it was not his instruction to carry Tagbo to the hospital, let alone abandoned him. If on his instruction, that he was drunk not to be mentally in control of his words and actions when Tagbo became uncontrolled or died as alleged. There is also aiding of crime without being at the scene. Davido is in a hurdle of criminal investigation now and his lawyer has to guide him right on truth and legal options” he explained. Recall that, earlier in the week, news broke that Davido’s driver and two of his friends transported Tagbo Umeike to the General Hospital where he was abandoned. While speaking to journalists during a press briefing, Commissioner of Police, CP Imohimi Edgar revealed that Davido’s driver, Tunde Yusuf and two of his friends were the ones who transported Tagbo to the General Hospital. He also revealed that during his first meeting with Tagbo’s family, Caroline Danjuma and Davido, Davido said that he heard of Tagbo’s death at the club through a mutual friend. Meanwhile, Davido’s driver in his statement said that they took Tagbo to the hospital based on instructions from Davido. Davido, late in the night, took to his Instagram page to react to the story stating that he will release a statement with visuals soon. He also urged bloggers to shun lies, adding that, enough is enough.]]>
