The Ohaneze Youth Forum has appealed to the police to immediately arrest those behind the call for Igbo to leave the North within 90 days, stating that the coalition of three Arewa groups is illegal and unknown to Nigerian laws. The Ohaneze Youth Forum said as an association duly registered in accordance with Nigerian laws particularly, in compliance with Part C of Companies And Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 1990, their search at the CAC has revealed that the associations that issued threat to the corporate existence of Nigeria by asking ndi Igbo of South East Nigeria, to leave the Northern part of Nigeria on or before 1st of Oct,2017 were unknown to Nigeria’s law and “those who signed the declaration should be arrested immediately for heading illegal organizations and using same to threaten Nigeria.” The statement signed by Akuazaoku Chukwuma and Eze Umuokorobia said: “A search at Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) reveals the following; “1. AREWA YOUTH CONSULTATIVE FORUM not registered with CAC, it is still undergoing registration. So it is not a legal entity. “2. AREWA CITIZENS ACTION FOR CHANGE, is not registered or is it undergoing registration at CAC. “3. AREWA YOUTH DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION is not registered with CAC but there is AREWA YOUTH FOUNDATION LAGOS CHAPTER, with office address at 58 Ligali Street, off Ojo Road, Ajegbunle,Lagos, Lagos. Its IT number is 35203. “4. AREWA STUDENTS FORUM is not registered in CAC but there is AREWA STUDENTS, whose address is B2, 185 Katuru Road, Kaduna. It was registered on June 4, 1983. “5. NORTHERN EMANCIPATION NETWORK ON THE IGBO PERSISTENCE FOR SECESSION does not exist in CAC records.” The group queried the “DSS and other security agencies to tell Nigerians why these illegal organizations should threaten the peace of the nation and nothing has happened to those fronting for them? “Is this a case of sacred cows? But even at that without conceding these illegal organizations are not our cows they are illegal and should be treated like stray cows infested with foot and mouth disease. They should be quarantined in prison after due judicial process must have taken its full course. “The icing on our investigations is that AREWA CONSULTATIVE FORUM is not registered in CAC!” It expressed the hope that the prescribed laws will take its full course of those who authored, signed and circulated the infamous Kaduna Declaration. “We reaffirm our commitment to one indissoluble Nigeria though tribe and tongue may differ.”]]>
