The Young Lawyers Forum (YLF) of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Abuja Branch, has officially opened registration for its 2026 Summit, scheduled to hold on Wednesday, December 9, 2026, at the NBA House, Central Business District, Abuja.

The Summit, themed “The Emerging Global Order and the Legal Profession: The Future of the Young Lawyer,” is expected to bring together young legal practitioners for discussions on the changing global landscape, emerging professional opportunities and the future of legal practice.

In an announcement issued by the YLF Summit Planning Committee on behalf of the YLF Abuja Executive Council for the 2026–2028 tenure, the Forum invited young lawyers and other interested participants to register for the event.

According to the organisers, the Summit will provide an opportunity for young legal minds to learn, exchange ideas, build professional relationships and participate in conversations aimed at shaping the future of the legal profession.

The theme places particular emphasis on the position of young lawyers within an evolving global environment and the need for emerging legal practitioners to prepare for the opportunities and challenges ahead.

The organisers explained that the gathering would provide a platform for intellectual engagement, meaningful networking and the exchange of professional experiences among participants.

The Summit is also expected to encourage young lawyers to reflect on their roles in the legal profession and explore ways of positioning themselves for professional growth in an increasingly interconnected world.

The Forum noted that the event would offer participants an enriching experience through insightful discussions, opportunities to establish professional connections and engagements aimed at strengthening their understanding of the future of legal practice.

The announcement comes as the NBA Young Lawyers Forum continues to promote professional development, mentorship, collaboration and greater participation of young lawyers in activities affecting the legal profession.

The Abuja Branch Forum, also known as the Unity Bar YLF, serves as a platform for supporting young lawyers through programmes designed to encourage career development, professional learning and networking.

The forthcoming Summit forms part of those efforts, with the organisers seeking to bring young lawyers together to exchange ideas and prepare for developments that may influence their professional careers.

Announcing the commencement of registration, the Planning Committee expressed enthusiasm about the event and encouraged interested participants to secure their places.

“The wait is over! The NBA-YLF Abuja Branch Summit 2026 is almost here, and registration has officially commenced!” the announcement stated.

The organisers further invited participants to prepare for “an inspiring and engaging gathering of young legal minds” where they would have the opportunity to “learn, connect, share ideas, and shape the future of the legal profession.”

They also described the Summit as an opportunity for insightful discussions, meaningful networking and exposure to exciting professional opportunities.
