Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, has spoken publicly following reports that he was released from custody in the United Kingdom.

Poco Lee appeared in a video conversation with social media commentator Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, maintaining that he was innocent of the allegations against him.
The dancer said he remained mentally strong throughout his ordeal because he believed he had not committed the alleged offences.
“If I was inside there and I did what I was accused of, I would have felt I was paying for my sins, but since I knew I didn’t do what I was accused of, my mind is pure,” he said.
He explained that his principal concern during the period was the effect of his absence on his friends and business associates.
Poco Lee also thanked those who supported him, including Nigerian singer Burna Boy and socialite Rahman Jago, saying they stood by him despite the sensitive nature of the allegations.
Although the video confirms that the entertainer is no longer being held incommunicado, UK authorities have not publicly confirmed whether he was formally granted bail or the conditions attached to any release.
The UK Crown Prosecution Service recently confirmed that the criminal proceedings remain active and that Poco Lee is scheduled to appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 15, 2026, for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
He is reportedly facing five sexual-offence charges comprising attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration.
The allegations have not been determined by the court, and Poco Lee is presumed innocent unless and until convicted.
The court has also imposed reporting restrictions protecting the identity of the complainant under the Sexual Offences (Amendment) Act 1992.
