The Snaresbrook Crown Court in London has officially confirmed that Nigerian dancer and socialite Iweh Pascal Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, is scheduled to appear before the court on September 15, 2026, in connection with an assault allegation.

The confirmation provides the first direct court acknowledgment of proceedings involving the entertainer following days of reports about his alleged arrest and remand in the United Kingdom.
The court, responding to an inquiry sent over the reported case, confirmed that the matter has been formally listed for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
In correspondence from the court’s Admin Team Lead, James Baker, he stated: “I can confirm that this case is currently listed at Snaresbrook Crown Court for plea and trial preparation on the 15th September 2026.”
Baker also clarified that criminal proceedings at the court are generally open to members of the public.
He, however, declined to confirm a specific time or courtroom for Poco Lee’s appearance, explaining that such details would only become available shortly before the hearing.
“Criminal Court hearings are open to the public. Precise times and courtroom information will not be available until the day before the hearing,” he stated.
The clarification is significant because an earlier account by Nigerian community leader Benjamin Kuti, popularly known as Oluomo of Derby, had suggested that Poco Lee’s September 15 appearance would take place at exactly 10 a.m.
The court’s response means that while the September 15 date is now officially confirmed, the precise time and courtroom cannot yet be regarded as settled.
The court correspondence followed an inquiry concerning reports of an alleged sexual assault involving the dancer. The material available, however, does not set out the precise particulars of the charge, the alleged victim’s account or the circumstances surrounding the alleged incident.

According to him, his knowledge of the case stemmed from his regular attendance at court proceedings involving Nigerians in the UK and his efforts to support members of the Nigerian community facing legal difficulties.
Kuti explained that a plea hearing would ordinarily involve the defendant indicating whether he pleads guilty or not guilty to the charge or charges before the court.
He also said he intended to attend the proceedings in support of Poco Lee.
The subsequent response from Snaresbrook Crown Court has now independently established that a case involving Poco Lee is indeed listed before the court on September 15, although the court’s description of the proceeding is specifically a “plea and trial preparation” hearing rather than a substantive trial beginning that day.
