The Nigerian Law Society Golf Club has concluded its 2nd Annual Golf Tournament, with Ibrahim Dandija emerging champion after a commanding performance at the Zuma Rock Golf Course.

The tournament, which formed part of activities marking the 4th Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Law Society, brought together lawyers, senior advocates, academics and golf enthusiasts in a contest marked by skill, rivalry and sportsmanship.

Dandija, a lawyer from Bauchi State, delivered a strong performance to defeat the defending champion, Mr. Ubong Akpan, who won the inaugural edition of the tournament last year.

Akpan had entered this year’s competition as the man to beat, having previously edged out the Captain of the NLS Golf Club, Chief Joe-Kyari Gadzama, SAN, in the first edition. However, he was unable to retain the title as Dandija took control of the course and secured victory.

The event attracted several distinguished participants, including legendary golf professional Uloma Mbuko-Ogbuokiri, who provided expert guidance during the tournament; Chief Joe-Kyari Gadzama, SAN, Captain of the NLS Golf Club; Prof. Peter Akper; Ibrahim Dandija; and D.D. Kili, among others.

Dandija’s victory was described as a major highlight of the tournament, as he combined precision, consistency and composure to outplay the field and claim the title.

The contest for second place was also keenly fought, with Prof. Peter Akper finishing as runner-up after an impressive display of calmness and skill.

The tournament was described as more than a sporting event, serving as a platform for camaraderie, healthy competition and the promotion of excellence within the legal profession.

The Nigerian Law Society Golf Club congratulated Dandija on his victory and commended all participants for making the second edition of the tournament a memorable outing.
