Candidate for the office of General Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association, Nnaebuka Onyebuchi Nwaeze, has urged NBA members to carefully review the voting procedure ahead of the 2026 national elections.

In a campaign message titled “How To Vote: 10 Easy Steps,” Nwaeze reminded members that every vote matters and every member counts in determining the future leadership of the Association.

The election is scheduled to hold on Saturday, July 18, 2026.

According to the campaign message, members are expected to visit the official ECNBA e-voting portal, read and accept the privacy notice, enter their registered Supreme Court Number, receive a One-Time Password by email, and enter the OTP to authenticate their identity.

After authentication, voters are expected to access the electronic ballot, select their preferred candidates, carefully review their selections, submit the ballot and receive a confirmation reference number.

The message also warned that once a ballot is submitted, it cannot be edited or withdrawn.

The campaign material further indicated that the e-voting platform is supported on major browsers, including Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari.

It also stated that voting can be done using supported devices such as desktop computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones running Android or iOS.

Nwaeze, who is contesting for NBA General Secretary, restated his campaign message that the NBA Secretariat should be built around service, integrity, accountability and innovation.

His campaign slogan, “Let’s Make The NBA Secretariat About Service,” emphasises a Secretariat that puts members first, does what is right, takes responsibility for results and embraces new ideas for a better NBA.

The message urged members to “vote smart, vote secure and vote your future,” while calling on them to support Nwaeze’s candidacy for General Secretary.
