A candidate for the office of General Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association, Nnaebuka Onyebuchi Nwaeze, has congratulated Dr. Mazi Udegbunam on his election as Chairman of the NBA Owerri Branch.

Nwaeze also congratulated the Secretary-elect, Kenny Ujah, and other newly elected officers of the branch on their victory in the just concluded branch elections.

In a goodwill message, Nwaeze said the election of the new officers reflected the trust and confidence reposed in them by members of the branch.

According to him, the mandate given to Udegbunam and his team is a demonstration of the branch members’ belief in their capacity and commitment to advancing the ideals of justice, rule of law and professional development.

“Your election is a demonstration of the trust and confidence of the members of the branch in your capacity and commitment to promoting and refining their aspirations towards the ideals of justice and rule of law,” he said.

Nwaeze noted that the new leadership has a rare privilege to guide and positively influence the professional and collegial aspirations of members of the Owerri Branch.

He expressed confidence that Udegbunam’s track record of selfless service to the branch would help the new administration consolidate on existing gains.

“As you assume leadership of the branch, you have a rare privilege of guiding and positively influencing the professional and collegial aspirations of the members of the branch,” he said.

“Knowing your track record of selfless devotion to the affairs of the branch, I am confident that your tenure will build on the gains already made in that direction.”

Nwaeze further extended his congratulations to the entire members of the NBA Owerri Branch, describing the emergence of the new leadership as the beginning of a new chapter for the branch.

“Once again, I congratulate you, the Secretary-elect, Kenny Ujah, and all members of your newly elected team, and indeed the entire members of NBA Owerri Branch for the new chapter that has just opened for the branch with the new leadership,” he added.
