Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Monday received the President of the Court of Appeal of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem, during a courtesy visit to the Lagos House, Marina.

Justice Dongban-Mensem was received by the governor alongside the Chief Judge of Lagos State, Hon. Justice Kazeem Alogba, and other senior judicial officers.
Although details of the discussions were not immediately disclosed, the visit brought together key figures from the federal and state judiciary, reflecting continued engagement between the Lagos State Government and the judicial arm of government.
During the visit, Governor Sanwo-Olu presented a Lagos State Government plaque to the Court of Appeal President in recognition of the courtesy call.
Those present at the meeting included the Chief Registrar of the Court of Appeal, Barr. Umar Bangari; Court of Appeal Justices Boloukuromo Ugo, Yargata Nimpar, Folashade Ojo and Danlami Senchi.
The meeting also had in attendance the Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice Kazeem Alogba, who joined the governor in receiving the Court of Appeal President and her delegation.
The courtesy call formed part of institutional engagements between Lagos State and the Court of Appeal, with the visit expected to strengthen cooperation and mutual understanding in areas relating to justice administration.
Justice Dongban-Mensem has continued to lead reform efforts within the appellate court system, while Lagos remains one of Nigeria’s busiest judicial divisions, handling a large volume of commercial, civil and criminal matters.
The visit ended with group photographs involving Governor Sanwo-Olu, Justice Dongban-Mensem, Justice Alogba and other members of the Court of Appeal delegation.
