A candidate for the office of General Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association, Nnaebuka Onyebuchi Nwaeze, Esq., has congratulated the Muslim Lawyers Association of Nigeria on the occasion of its 17th Annual Conference holding in Kano.

The conference is scheduled to hold in the historic city of Kano on June 25, 2026, with the theme, “National Halal Strategy: A Vehicle for Economic Advancement and Sustainable Development in Nigeria.”

In a goodwill message to the leadership and members of MULAN, Nwaeze commended the association for its consistent role in promoting ethical standards, professional excellence and national development.

According to him, the theme of this year’s conference reflects MULAN’s commitment to advancing trusted standards in human, professional and economic development.

“MULAN has, over the years, consistently led the efforts and conversations on promoting ethical standards in all spheres of professional and national development; and the theme of this year’s National Conference, ‘National Halal Strategy: A Vehicle for Economic Advancement and Sustainable Development in Nigeria,’ is a testament of MULAN’s commitment to promoting trusted standards in our overall human development,” he said.

Nwaeze said the conference theme aligns with his philosophy of making the NBA Secretariat a hub for service that meets the highest possible standards for members of the legal profession and society at large.

He expressed confidence that the conference would provide a valuable platform for deeper reflection on the role of halal strategy in economic advancement and sustainable development.

The NBA General Secretary candidate also noted that the eminent discussants billed to speak at the conference would help enrich conversations around the theme and promote the overall wellbeing of Nigerians.

“I have immense confidence, going by the eminent discussants billed to lead the conversation around the theme of the Conference, that it will be a worthwhile opportunity to deepen the insight into the subject and thereby promote the overall wellbeing of the citizens of our country,” he added.

Nwaeze further commended MULAN for its sustained efforts in promoting best standards in knowledge and practice, while wishing all conferees a successful and rewarding conference experience.
