The Committee of Friends of Hon. Justice Professor Alaba Omolaye-Ajileye, Rtd, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders in the legal, academic and justice sectors, has announced the public presentation of two major scholarly works authored by the distinguished jurist and scholar.

The books to be presented are Electronic Evidence, Second Edition (2026) and A Compendium Of Cases On Electronic Evidence, Volume Two (2020–2025).

The event is scheduled to hold on Thursday, July 2, 2026, by 2:00 p.m., at the Ultra-modern Conference Centre, National Open University of Nigeria, NOUN, Headquarters, Jabi, Abuja.

In a statement signed by Tawo E. Tawo, SAN, Chairman of the Committee, and A. A. Malik, SAN, Secretary of the Committee, the organisers said the publications represent a major contribution to the development of jurisprudence and legal scholarship in Nigeria and beyond.

According to the statement, the new works build on the success and influence of the first edition of Electronic Evidence and the earlier volume of the Compendium Of Cases On Electronic Evidence.

The Committee noted that the books provide updated analyses, contemporary judicial decisions, practical insights and authoritative guidance on the evolving role of technology and electronic evidence in modern legal practice.

The event is expected to bring together distinguished members of the judiciary, eminent philanthropists, legal practitioners, academics, policymakers, law enforcement agencies, technology experts, students and other stakeholders interested in the intersection of law, technology and justice administration.

Beyond the book presentation, the occasion will also mark the formal launch of the Justice Alaba Omolaye-Ajileye Educational Foundation For Indigent Students.

The Foundation is a humanitarian and educational initiative inspired by Justice Ajileye’s personal life journey and his enduring commitment to learning, service and the empowerment of future generations through education.

Electronic Evidence, Second Edition (2026) and A Compendium Of Cases On Electronic Evidence, Volume Two (2020–2025).

According to the organisers, the Foundation is established to provide educational support, scholarships, mentorship opportunities and other forms of assistance to indigent students who have the determination and potential to excel but are limited by financial and social barriers.

They stated that Justice Ajileye’s life story, marked by dedication, perseverance, scholarship and public service, continues to inspire many young Nigerians.

The Foundation, they added, seeks to translate that inspiration into practical support for deserving students across the country.

Members of the public, educational institutions, professional bodies, development partners, corporate organisations and friends of education have been invited to participate in the event and support the Foundation’s vision of expanding access to educational opportunities for underprivileged students.

The Committee said further details on the programme, distinguished guests, book reviewers and launch activities would be communicated in due course.
