A lawyer, Mr. Ademola Adefolaju, has written to PWAN Group Limited, demanding payment of an alleged outstanding sum of N83.3 million on behalf of his client, Dhairmistress Luxury Hair.

In the demand letter addressed to the real estate company, Adefolaju said his client entered into investment-related agreements with PWAN Group and was entitled to returns totaling N88.3 million under the transactions.

According to the lawyer, the claim arose from two separate transactions valued at N79.8 million and N8.5 million respectively, bringing the total alleged obligation to N88.3 million.

He acknowledged that PWAN Group paid his client the sum of N5 million on May 29, 2026, but insisted that the payment was only a partial settlement and did not extinguish the company’s alleged liability.

Adefolaju maintained that after deducting the N5 million payment, the outstanding balance remained N83.3 million.

Part of the letter reads: “We acknowledge receipt of the sum of N5,000,000.00 paid by your company on 29th May 2026. While this payment is noted, it constitutes only a partial payment and does not extinguish your company’s liability.

“For the avoidance of doubt: Amount due under first transaction: N79,800,000.00; Amount due under second transaction: N8,500,000.00; Total indebtedness: N88,300,000.00; Less amount received: N5,000,000.00; Outstanding balance: N83,300,000.00.”

The lawyer gave PWAN Group 48 hours to pay the alleged outstanding sum, warning that failure to do so could lead to legal action to recover the money and any other reliefs his client may seek.

Adefolaju also referenced cheques allegedly issued in connection with the transactions, stating that his client reserved the right to pursue appropriate legal and regulatory remedies over the matter.

As of the time of filing this report, PWAN Group had not publicly responded to the allegations contained in the letter.

Efforts to obtain the company’s reaction were unsuccessful, as two phone numbers linked to the company, which Truecaller identified as belonging to Nathaniel Okpeh and Joseph Olusegun, were switched off.
