A law firm, Renaissance Legal Consulting, has appealed to the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, to open the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for the newly restored state constituencies in Benue State.

In a request letter dated May 15, 2026, and addressed to the APC National Chairman, the firm explained that following the official restoration of the five constituencies in Benue State, including Ukum II State Constituency, by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Thursday, May 14, 2026, a member of the ruling party, Hiifan Andrew Abuul, is interested in contesting the 2027 election to represent the people of the new constituency.

The letter, signed by Barr. Terhemba Wuaze, said the release of the APC forms by the National Chairman would enable his client to purchase same and participate in the party’s primaries preparatory to the 2027 general election.

Parts of the letter read, “We are solicitors to Hiifan Andrew Abuul, our client, on whose instructions we so write. Our client informed us that he is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), hereinafter referred to as the Party, from Azendeshi Ward, Ukum Local Government Area, Benue State. Find attached his temporary membership slip.”

“It is our client’s instruction that, following the official restoration of the five constituencies in Benue State, including Ukum II State Constituency, by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Thursday, May 14, 2026, he is interested in contesting in the 2027 election to represent the good people of Ukum II Constituency.”

The letter added, “Following the above development, our client has asked us to request, and we hereby request, the All Progressives Congress (APC) to release Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for our client to purchase same and participate in the Party’s primaries preparatory to the 2027 general election,” Wuaze said.
