The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Effurun Branch, popularly known as the “Dynamic Bar,” has announced its 2026 Law Week, with a focus on strengthening advocacy skills in an evolving legal landscape.

The event, themed “Advocacy Unplugged: Timeless Skills and Modern Tools,” is scheduled to hold from April 30 to May 1, 2026, at the NBA Effurun Bar Centre, High Court Premises, GRA Effurun, Delta State.

The Law Week will feature a lineup of distinguished jurists, senior advocates, and legal practitioners drawn from across the country.

The Chief Judge of Delta State, Hon. Justice T.O. Diai, will attend as the Special Guest of Honour, while Hon. Justice Amina Augie (JSC) is billed as the Lead Speaker.

Other notable personalities expected at the event include Hon. Justice C.N. Ojugbana-Orsherede and Hon. Justice C.F. Achilefu, who will serve as Chairmen of sessions, and HRM Albert Aparaomeje (SAN), the Orodje of Olomu Kingdom, who will be honoured as the Royal Father of the Day.

The programme will also feature keynote addresses and panel discussions by respected figures in the legal profession, including Hon. Justice T.O. Uloho, Prof. Ernest Ojukwu (SAN), Hon. Justice M.N. Obi, and Hon. Justice S.O. Adolor, among others.

Several Senior Advocates of Nigeria and seasoned practitioners such as Chief E.L. Akpofure (SAN), C.A. Ajuya (SAN), Abdullahi Olayiwola (SAN), and Chief V.E. Otomiewo are also listed as discussants, alongside other contributors expected to provide insights into contemporary advocacy practice.

The Law Week is being coordinated under the leadership of Dennis Akpoveta Esq., Chairman of the NBA Effurun Branch, with Dr. Ite Lewis Akara serving as Chairman of the Law Week Planning Committee.

According to organisers, the event is designed to explore the intersection between traditional advocacy techniques and modern technological tools, with the aim of equipping legal practitioners to meet the demands of a rapidly changing legal environment.

Participants are expected to engage in robust discussions on improving courtroom advocacy, enhancing professional competence, and adapting to innovations shaping the future of legal practice in Nigeria.
