The Nigerian Bar Association is set to convene a virtual session focused on the evolving landscape of tax reform and its implications for legal practitioners and persons with disabilities.

Themed “Tax Reform and Inclusion: Understanding the Impact of Nigeria’s Tax Regime on Lawyers and Persons with Disabilities,” the event aims to examine practical implications, compliance concerns, and existing inclusion gaps within Nigeria’s current tax framework.

Scheduled for Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM, the session will feature seasoned professionals in tax and legal practice who are expected to provide insights into how ongoing reforms affect both practitioners and vulnerable groups.

The discussion will be moderated by Echeho Godfrey, while speakers include Samson Esuga, Chairman of the NBA Section on Business Law Taxation Committee, and Emmanuel Akpeme.

The Chairperson of the NBA Lawyers With Disabilities Forum (NBA-LWDF), Patience N. Etumudon, is also expected to play a key role in advancing conversations around disability inclusion within the tax system.

Organisers noted that participants will earn Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points, underscoring the programme’s relevance to professional growth.

The NBA encouraged interested participants to register ahead of the event, describing the session as an opportunity to contribute to ongoing efforts aimed at shaping a more inclusive and equitable tax regime in Nigeria.
