Mr Unachukwu strenuously denied the employment claim and later challenged his disqualification in court without victory. The office of the National Publicity Secretary was not contested at the election which was conducted through electronic means. Appointment and swearing in of Mr Bukar Waziri is coming at a time when many members of the association has questioned a trend where notices and information from the association’s secretariat is signed by one Omololu Kassim with title of “Media Manager” even where there is a validly elected Assistant National Publicity Secretary, Chukwuemeka Mbamala. The appointment of Bukar Waziri Esq appears to be a response to the members concerns. ‎Some members have however criticized the appointment as ultra vires the President of the Association.
