Arise TV anchor Ojy Okpe has reported that two chefs and a driver employed by former Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) President, Augustine Alegeh, SAN, allegedly poisoned members of his household staff and made away with his vehicle.

Okpe broke the news Friday morning during her What’s Trending segment, describing the act as both shocking and tragic. “Two chefs and a driver actually poisoned their staff and stole a vehicle belonging to a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Austin Alege,” she said while displaying photographs of the suspects on air.
According to Okpe, the suspects allegedly carried out the poisoning as part of a plot to steal Alegeh’s car. “These young boys stole his car. Just to steal a car, they actually poisoned their staff and the driver,” she added, urging the public to help identify the culprits.
She also cautioned viewers not to hire the individuals if recognized, emphasizing that they remain at large. “If you know their whereabouts, they are criminals. Do not hire them. Please call the police directly,” she appealed.
Okpe described the development as another grim reminder of Nigeria’s growing insecurity, expressing hope that law enforcement agencies would apprehend the perpetrators soon.
As of the time of this report, details about the condition of the poisoned staff and the recovery of the stolen vehicle had not been confirmed.
