A heartbroken mother has gone viral on social media, pleading for assistance after her trusted driver allegedly betrayed her by duplicating her house keys, breaking into her home, and fleeing with a box of dollars she had painstakingly saved for over a year to fund her son’s education abroad.

In a tearful video circulating online, the unidentified woman recounted the shocking betrayal by her driver, Ibrahim, whom she employed in July. Despite treating him generously with competitive pay and additional cash gifts from clients and guests during events, she never suspected his ulterior motives. “I did not know he had a mission. I don’t even know how he managed to duplicate my keys,” she sobbed, her voice breaking with anguish.

The incident unfolded on a recent Monday when Ibrahim drove her to her office as part of his routine duties. According to the woman, he then allegedly returned to her residence, forced entry into her room, and made off with the entire box of foreign currency. The stolen funds, primarily in U.S. dollars, represented her hard-earned savings from event proceeds and gifts, accumulated amid past difficulties in accessing money through banking channels. “It’s been over two weeks now that we’ve been looking for him,” she revealed, her eyes red from endless worry.

Desperate for justice, the woman and her family took matters into their own hands, briefly detaining Ibrahim’s guarantor, wife, and father. However, the police intervened, deeming it unlawful to hold them accountable for his actions and ordering their release. Undeterred, she has since enlisted professional trackers to hunt for the fugitive, but leads remain scarce. “We arrested his guarantor, wife, and father, but the police asked us to release them, saying it’s unlawful to hold others for his crime,” she said.

Clutching at hope, the mother issued a public plea in the video, urging anyone with information on Ibrahim’s whereabouts to come forward. “I’m just pretending to be fine. I’m not fine at all,” she confessed, wiping away tears. “Please, if you have any means to help me find Ibrahim, help me. That money was all I had for my children’s future.”
