JonahCapital Nigeria Limited, original allottees of the River Park Estate in Abuja, has issued a public disclaimer, distancing itself from a lawsuit purportedly filed in its name against the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA).

In a statement titled “Public Notice/Impostor Alert” and signed by its Managing Director/CEO, Kojo Ansah Mensah, the company warned the public against one Mr. Oluwabunmi Sola Adebiyi of BlueGate Solicitors, whom it described as an impostor acting without its mandate.

“It has come to the attention of JonahCapital Nigeria Limited that one Mr. Oluwabunmi Sola Adebiyi (35 years) of BlueGate Solicitors, with enrolment number SCN089077, is an impostor and does not have the authority of the Board of JonahCapital Nigeria Limited to act for or represent the company in any capacity whatsoever,” the statement read.

The company explained that Adebiyi, a lawyer known to represent Paulo Homes Ltd and Paul Odili, had purported to institute Suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/1860/2025: JonahCapital Nigeria Limited & Anor v. Honourable Minister of the FCT & Anor, and even obtained a restraining order without its consent.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the Directors of JonahCapital Nigeria Limited are: Mr. Samuel Esson Jonah, Mr. Kojo Mensah Ansah, and Mr. Victor Quainoo. The particulars of the Directors of JonahCapital Nigeria Limited, being a matter of public record, can be accessed by any member of the public,” it clarified.

The company further disclosed that Adebiyi’s professional conduct has long been reported to the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee (LPDC), where he is undergoing disciplinary proceedings, and that law enforcement agencies would be notified for further action.

JonahCapital reiterated that it has not instituted any legal proceedings against Minister Wike or the FCDA and has instructed the law firm of S.I. Ameh, SAN, to appear in court to withdraw the unauthorized suit.

“The general public is hereby put on notice,” the statement concluded.
