The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has announced a fresh review of its service fees, which will take effect from August 1, 2025.

According to the Commission, the decision was made following a thorough assessment of prevailing economic conditions, rising operational expenses, and consultations with key stakeholders.

In a public notice on Tuesday, the CAC explained that the fee adjustment is part of ongoing efforts to deliver efficient, technology-driven services that meet the evolving needs of businesses and the Nigerian economy.

“The Commission wishes to inform the general public, esteemed customers, and all stakeholders that, in its continued efforts to improve service quality and delivery, it has become necessary to review certain service fees effective August 1, 2025,” the notice stated.

“This decision follows careful consideration of prevailing economic realities, rising operational costs, as well as engagement with critical stakeholders ahead of implementation.”

The Commission emphasized that the reviewed fees are modest, competitive, and aligned with its commitment to enhance service delivery through digital operations and maintain the integrity of the Nigerian Corporate Registry.

Reaffirming its dedication to efficiency, the CAC noted that the revised fee structure is intended to ensure sustainability and continuous improvement in service delivery.

“We remain committed to transparency, accountability, and customer satisfaction as we strive to build a more resilient and responsive corporate regulatory environment,” it added.

According to the CAC, the new fee structure will impact business owners, legal practitioners, compliance officers, and stakeholders engaging with the corporate registry for post-incorporation filings and regulatory services.

The updated structure affects services offered to companies, limited partnerships, business names, and incorporated trustees. Some notable changes include:

For Companies:

  • Voluntary Striking-Off: Increased from ₦25,000 (for small companies) to ₦50,000; ₦100,000 for public companies.
  • Relisting of a Company: ₦50,000 for LTD/GTE; ₦100,000 for public companies.
  • Due Diligence Search (Self-Service): ₦50,000 across all categories.
  • Extension of Time to Hold AGM: ₦100,000 for public companies; ₦50,000 for others.
  • Historical Search Reports: ₦20,000 to ₦30,000 per request, depending on the report type.
  • Restriction of Director’s Residential Address: ₦25,000.
  • Certified True Copy (CTC) of Documents/Extracts: ₦5,000 per document.

For Limited Partnerships:

  • Voluntary Striking-Off & Relisting: ₦25,000.
  • Letter of Good Standing: ₦10,000.
  • Registration and CTC of Documents: ₦30,000.
  • Change of Name: ₦10,000.

For Business Names:

  • Voluntary Striking-Off: ₦10,000.
  • Relisting: ₦25,000.
  • Application for Cessation: ₦10,000.
  • CTC of Documents/Extracts: ₦5,000 each.
  • Restriction of Proprietor’s Address: ₦25,000.

The Commission stated that name reservations remain unchanged at ₦1,000, while reservations involving restricted words will cost ₦5,000.
