The newly appointed Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), Bayo Ojulari, on Friday solicited the support of the company’s management and staff to achieve the ambitious goals ahead.

Ojulari made the call while officially taking over from his predecessor, Malam Mele Kyari, during a brief handover ceremony held at the NNPC Towers in Abuja.

This was disclosed in a press statement issued by the NNPC Ltd Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Mr. Olufemi Soneye.

The statement read in part:
“The new Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), Bayo Ojulari, has officially taken over the reins of the company from his predecessor, Mr. Mele Kyari.”

In his remarks, Ojulari commended Kyari for his significant contributions to the growth of NNPC Ltd and his distinguished service to the nation.

He stated that his administration would build on the achievements of his predecessor and take the company to new heights.

Acknowledging the scale of the task ahead, Ojulari said he would rely on the collaboration of the management and staff, as well as Kyari’s continued guidance.

“I will be counting on your support. I will need it. I will be coming around to seek your counsel,” Ojulari told Kyari.

In his response, Kyari congratulated Ojulari on his new role and thanked the management and staff of NNPC Ltd for their support during his tenure.

He assured the new GCEO of his continued support, adding, “I am only a call away.”
