A shocking video has surfaced showing a family-of-four allegedly stealing three laptops from a shop owned by Vincent Udo’s brother at the Area 1 Shopping Complex, Abuja, on Monday, February 17, 2025. Vincent Udo shared the footage on his Facebook wall, appealing to the public for help in identifying and locating the suspects.

The video, which has since gone viral, captures what appears to be a family consisting of a father, his wife, and their two daughters. The wife and daughters were dressed in jilbabs, a traditional Islamic garment, as they browsed the shop.
In the footage, the father is seen engaging an employee in conversation, seemingly to distract her, while his wife and daughters discreetly removed three laptops from the shelves and hid them under their jilbabs. The entire heist was carried out in plain sight, with the shop employee unaware of the theft until after the family had left.
Vincent Udo, whose brother owns the shop, posted the video on his Facebook wall with a plea for assistance. He wrote, “Help me share this video to go round, please. This is my brother’s shop. They stole 3 laptops worth over ₦100,000. Call this number 08021154919 for further information. This happened today, Monday, 17/02/2025, at Area 1 Shopping Complex, Abuja FCT.”
The incident has sparked outrage online, with many Nigerians condemning the brazen act and calling for the family to be apprehended. Udo is urging anyone with information about the suspects to come forward to aid in their identification and arrest.
The video has been widely circulated on social media platforms, with netizens expressing shock at the audacity of the theft and the involvement of what appears to be an entire family.
