The Delta State Judicial Service Commission has announced a call for nominations to fill two additional judge positions in the Customary Court of Appeal.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Judges of the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, the commission expressed its aim to strengthen the judiciary and ensure the efficient administration of justice in the state.

Hon. Justice C.V. Ojugbana-Orishedere, President of the Customary Court of Appeal, Delta State, emphasized the need for suitable and qualified candidates of Delta State origin, practising within the jurisdiction. The ideal candidates should possess a strong background in customary law and demonstrate a proven track record of excellence.

To be considered for nomination, candidates must meet the following requirements:
– Be of Delta State origin
– Be practising within the jurisdiction
– Have a strong background in customary law
– Submit their curriculum vitae and photocopies of credentials within two weeks from the date of the announcement

Interested parties are encouraged to submit their nominations within the specified timeline and support the commission’s efforts to strengthen the judiciary in Delta State.
