The Federal High Court of Nigeria has released its 2024 Christmas Vacation schedule and Roster for Vacation Judges. According to a circular signed by the Chief Judge, Hon. Justice John Terhemba Tsoho, OFR, KSS, FCIArb.(UK), the court will commence its Christmas Vacation from Monday, 16th December, 2024, to Monday, 6th January, 2025, pursuant to the provisions of Order 46, Rule 4 (C) of the Federal High Court (Civil Procedure) Rules, 2019 (as amended).

The court will resume sitting on Tuesday, 7th January, 2025, in all Judicial Divisions. During the vacation period, the core Judicial Divisions of Abuja, Lagos, and Port-Harcourt will remain functional and open to the litigating public. Vacation Judges will only entertain matters relating to the enforcement of Fundamental Rights, Arrest or Release of Vessels, and matters of dire National Interest.

The following Honorable Judges have been appointed to serve as Vacation Judges:

Abuja Judicial Division:
1. Hon. Justice Emeka Nwite
2. Hon. Justice M. S. Liman

Lagos Judicial Division:
1. Hon. Justice Akintayo Aluko
2. Hon. Justice Isaac D. Dipeolu

Port-Harcourt Judicial Division:
1. Hon. Justice P. M. Ayua
2. Hon. Justice A. T. Mohammed
