The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has sealed off a 24-hour fast-food restaurant owned by famous Instagram celebrity Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest.

The restaurant, named Donald’s Fast Food, is located along Adebayo Doherty Street in Lekki 1.
Tokunbo Wahab, the State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, announced the closure of the restaurant on his X (formerly Twitter) page on Sunday. According to Wahab, LASEPA took action after the restaurant repeatedly ignored warnings regarding excessive noise pollution and other environmental infractions.
Cubana Chief Priest had announced the opening of the restaurant on his Instagram page on 2 September, expressing his excitement to serve Lagos residents better. However, just a few weeks after its opening, the restaurant has been shut down by the authorities.
Prior to the opening, Cubana Chief Priest had posted on Instagram about the restaurant’s progress and the visit of popular singer Davido, who toured the establishment with his logistics manager, Israel DMW, and others. Davido had expressed his admiration for Cubana Chief Priest, stating, “I’m proud of you.”
As of the time of this report, Cubana Chief Priest has not issued a public statement regarding the closure of his restaurant by LASEPA.
This incident is similar to the sealing off of Silk Club, a popular nightclub located at 190 Awolowo Road in Ikoyi, which was also shut down over noise pollution in 2023. Commissioner Wahab had stated that the nightclub was sealed off by LASEPA officials during a nighttime enforcement operation in the area.
