*Alleges That Akpata Took Steps To Undermine Her As Gen Sec.

The former General Secretary in the NBA 2020-2022 administration, Mrs. Joyce Oduah FIMC has replied allegations leveled against her by the immediate past NBA executives, stating that they were all lies and calculated steps meant to undermine her person and office.

In a public statement, sighted by TheNigeriaLawyer and dated 20th September, 2022, Mrs. Oduah stated that she had been forced not to react back then to the said allegations out of respect for the NBA and the desire not to trash out internal issues publicly, but according to her, seeing that silence amounts to admission, there is the need for her to reply.

According to Oduah, every incident and allegations alleged by the past executives and circulated through a memo was false, lies and calculated to undermine her and her office. She emphasized that she had been dedicated to her office, and had not at anytime acted in malice, fury, bad faith or in contravention of the NBA Constitution. She alleged that she had no smooth working relationship with Past President, Olumide Akpata who she claimed took steps to undermine her office.

Oduah also presented evidence to support her defense, stating that all through her service as Gen Sec, she had been innovative, delivered on her manifesto and thought nothing but of the Welfare of NBA members. She established once again that her purported suspension was illegal, wrongful and in contravention of NBA Constitution.
