The president of African Women Lawyers Association, and a prominent candidate for the office of 3rd Vice President, Nigerian Bar Association, Amanda Asagba, has felicitated with lawyers, particularly the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Sallah festival.

Mandy, according to her statement made available to TheNigerialawyer, on Saturday, said, called on the Muslim faithful to imbibe the spirit of unity, tolerance for a peaceful coexistence.

She urged them not to relent in rededicating themselves to the onerous task of nation building while noting that the essence of the Eid-el-Kabir festival, which symbolizes the voluntary obedience of Prophet Ibrahim (ASW) to the commands of Allah and the demonstration of his faith in his maker must be emulated by all.

“I extend my very hearty felicitation with the Muslim Umma in the country on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration”

“Eid-el-Kabir is very significant in the life of every Muslim due to the virtues and values that it conveys.

“The celebration of Eid-el-Kabir reminds us of the loving provision and sacrifice of Almighty Allah, which has continued to sustain humanity.

“It is difficult to imagine what would have been the lot of Ibrahim and Ismail, if Almighty Allah the most beneficent and most merciful did not provide a substitute lamb at the mountain of sacrifice. Indeed, there would be no Eid-el-Kabir without the substitute lamb”.
