*Opines That Theme Selected Shows Their Understanding Of The Challenges Bedeviling Nigeria’s Legal Profession
*Challenges The NEC NEC Rise Up To The Occasion
*Wishes Participants Safe Travel

A candidate for the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) President, Mr. Jonathan Gunu Taidi Esq felicitated with the Muslim Lawyers’ Association of Nigeria (MULAN) on the occasion of her expanded National Executive Meeting (NEC) tagged: Between Professional Challenges and Societal expectations holding in Abuja on 3re Dhul Hijah 1443H/2nd July, 2022.

In a goodwill message available to TheNigeriaLawyer, Taidi Esq remarking on the theme of meeting stated that it was a clear capture of the fact that MULAN understand that indeed there were challenges plaguing the legal profession in Nigeria and as such there was need for an intervention. According to him: “There is no doubt that our country is facing one of its most challenging times, on the eve of her General Elections.

Therefore, the reason and circumstances for selecting the theme for this particular MULAN NEC Meeting shows a bold initiative aimed at understanding, discussing and proposing workable solutions to the myriad of challenges bedevilling not only the legal profession but the nation at as a whole.”

Talking about the significance of the MULAN NEC meeting and its contribution as an ‘intervention’, Mr. Taidi Esq continued thus: “This intervention is a significant contribution to nation building and a demonstration that the solution to our challenges lies in constant engagements and not the resort to violence. After all it is only realistic that we try to understand the diversity of the nation because the absence of such an understanding has been the bane of our nation.”

Challenging, the MULAN to rise up to the occasion and engage in discussions as well as come up with recommendations that would be a solution. “I challenge this NEC to engage in bold and frank discussions and come up with recommendations that will form the basis for the elusive, but much sought after solutions to our perennial problems.” He stated.

Mr. Jonathan Gunu Taidi Esq went on to wish all participants travel mercies and blessed stay in Abuja.
