A Former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association Abuja branch and Candidate for the office of General Secretary in the forthcoming election, Desmond Yamah has appealed to the Electoral Commission of the Nigerian Bar Association to extend the timeline for the verification of eligible lawyers.

According to Yamah, he has observed that many of the voters are still struggling to verify their data on the NBA website after several attempts and will require an extension to be able to complete the process as the verification process is fundamental to the credibility and integrity of the election.
He said: “We appreciate the enormous responsibilities and the challenges of the ECNBA but the verification exercise is a test of the level of preparedness for the elections.”
“I sincerely thank the ECNBA for a great job this far.”
