The Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association and and an aspirant for the chairmanship position of NBA Abuja branch Mr. Eric Chigozie Ibe has withdrawn from the race.

His withdrawal was made known in letter he personally signed and addressed to the Secretary of the branch Electoral Committee.
Ibe cited some recent developments within the branch as his reason for withdrawal.
The letter which was made available to TheNigeriaLawyer reads in part;
“I am writing to officially inform you of my intention to withdraw from the Chairmanship contest of our branch (Unity Bar) general elections 2022.”
“It has been a great honour to have contributed my quota and selfless service to the branch as Secretary between 2020 -2022.
Unfortunately, recent developments within our branch make it practically impossible to continue participating, hence the need to withdraw.”
“I wish to thank you personally for your industry. I wish you well as you continue to serve the Bar”
