*Commends leadership for a job well-done

Mr. Auta Nyada congratulates the NBA Kaduna Branch for hosting a wonderful 2022 law week. He applauded the Branch for the successful planning and hosting a law week tagged “Expanding the frontiers of legal practice amidst economic and political instability “. He stated thus: I want to seize this opportunity to congratulate the Nigerian Bar Association, Kaduna Branch on the occasion of their 2022 Law Week.
I applaud you not only for the planning and hosting of the Law Week but also for the theme, “Expanding the frontiers of legal practice amidst economic and political instability”.
You will recall that on the 27th-31st of May, the NBA Kaduna Branch held its 2022 law week. Commenting on the theme, Mr. Auta wrote:
There is no gainsaying that legal practice is not immune to the uncertainties and vicissitudes of today’s societies. The theme of the Law Week is thus apt and a discourse on same is well timed.
To buttress his point and sentiment, he made references to the famous quotes of J. William Fullbright, a former US. Senator and Hon Chi Minh, a Vietnamese revolutionary thus:
“J. William Fulbright, a former U.S. Senator, once said “law is the essential foundation of stability and order both within societies and in international relations”. As such, the stability and predictability provided by the law is essential in an ever evolving society. Now more than ever, the need to expand the frontiers of legal practice to cushion the tumultuous effects of social, economic and political instability should be of great concern to every stakeholder in the justice delivery sector and the legal profession.
In a different vein, Ho Chi Minh, a Vietnamese revolutionary, said that “the storm is a good opportunity for the pine and the cypress to show their strength and their stability”. The present economic and political instability presents a perfect opportunity for the legal profession to show why law remains the fulcrum around which the society revolves and the pillar upon which it rests.”
Mr. Auta once again congratulated them and commended their efforts:
I would therefore like to commend the efforts of the leadership and members of the Nigerian Bar Association, Kaduna Branch towards ensuring the success of their 2022 Law Week and the fruitfulness of all deliberations and activities as I wish you all the best.
