Friends of Adama, a group of associates, colleagues and friends of Barr Mohammed Adama, an aspirant for the office of the Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association, Abuja Branch, has congratulated her on her successful clearance to contest for the office of the Secretary of the branch.

The group which expressed elation that Adama surmounted all hurdles that came her way including a provisional disqualification from the race on grounds of alleged discrepancies in her Bar Practicing Fees payment for 2020 and 2021.

You will recall that on May 9, 2022, Barr MOHAMMED Adama in compliance with the guidelines of the Abuja Branch Electoral Committee, presented herself and her Nominees for screening at the Electoral Committee office.

However, due to unresolved issues surrounding the payment of her Bar Practice Fee (BPF) for the year 2020 and 2021, the Electoral Committee, in her publication of May 10, 2022, declared her “uncleared’ to contest the office of the Secretary of the branch.

According to a statement from Friends Of Adama which was made available to TheNigeriaLawyer, Adama was subsequently able to present evidence of payment of her bar practicing fees for the years 2020 and 2021, and was thus cleared by the Abuja Branch Electoral Committee to contest the office of Secretary of the branch.

The statement read; “It is in this vein that we, the friends and well-wishers of Barr MOHAMMED Adama , wish to congratulate her on this great feat, and wish her success in the forthcoming branch elections.”
