The Nigerian Bar Association, Yenagoa branch has been thrown into a state of mourning following the demise of one its prominent members, Prof. Sylvanus Abila.

He was a former Chairman of NBA Yenagoa. He was also shortlisted last year for the rank of SAN.
He was a lecturer at the Niger Delta University, Faculty of Law — an Associate Professor of Law.
Prof. Abila who recently passed on was a Professor of law, a successful legal practitioner, writer and Pastor.
The branch eulogises him for his inestimable contribution to its growth and progress, prays God grants his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
May his gentle soul rest in peace. Amen.
