The Former Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission, NHRC, Prof. Chidi Odinkalu, has expressed concern regarding proceedings at the Lagos State High Court, Igbosere that was stalled by darkness.

Odinkalu tweeted that the judges could not work on that condition.

“This is the view from inside the halls of the High Court of Lagos in Igbosere today: no energy & no natural lighting. The judges cld not work under this condition.” Odinkalu tweeted.

The human rights lawyer likened the darkness of the court to the state of justice in Nigeria

His words, “Darkness as the high court cld well be a metaphor for the condition of #Nigeria’s justice system at this time.”
