Former Chairman Nigerian  Bar Association Lokoja Branch, has warmly congratulated the Chairman, Executive Committee and members of NBA-SPIDEL for successfully organizing this special Town Hall Meeting.

Yesterday, the section at Marriott Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, held a Town Hall Meeting, with the theme “Justifiability of Chapter Two of 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).

The hybrid event had the NBA president, Olumide Akpata, as the Chief Host while Dr. Monday Ubani, NBA-SPIDEL chairman, was the host.

Speaking on the theme, Salihu said the enforceability of Chapter Two of the 1999 Constitution as amended is now more than ever very essential and necessary to ensure the enthronement of an egalitarian society in Nigeria. 

“This will guarantee that, the core essence of government is borne by government and citizens get to enjoy the dividend of democracy and good governance.

“It will equally guarantee that, education, health and other social amenities which are the basic necessities of life are provided by government and when not provided, the citizens can hold government accountable.

“I congratulate and commend Dr. Monday Ubani; the Chairman NBA-SPIDEL, Mr. Steve Abar; Chairman Planning Committee and other members of the Section and Planning Committee for not only ensuring that the meeting held but that, it was a huge success.

“I must put on record that, all the speakers are not only eminently qualified to address the theme but they delivered on their mandates as expected.

“The town hall meeting was very impactful and a great success.

“Long live the NBA!
