*Promises to Provide Efficient and Effective Leadership for the Forum
*To Secure Befitting Secretariat for the Association Within Five Months

Opi Lawyers Forum has elected a new leadership to pilot the affairs of the forum in the next administrative dispensation.

At the elections held recently at Opi, Nsukka Local Government Area in Enugu State, Paschal Chukwuemeka Uguwanyi , the immediate past chairman of NBA Nnewi branch emerged as Chairman. He is to take over the chairmanship from the immediate past executive led by Chief Gaby Abonyi.

Other newly elected members of executive committee of the Forum are; K.G Abonyi Esq ,an Nnewi based lawyer (Vice Chairman), Okonkwo Agbo Esq, a Port Harcourt based lawyer (General Secretary), Apollonia Agbo Esq, an Nsukka based lawyer (Treasurer).

Others are Solomon Ezugwu Esq who practices in Nnewi (Financial Secretary), Emeka Eze Esq, an Enugu based lawyer (Welfare Secretary), Obinna Abonyi Esq(Nsukka based lawyer)–Publicity Secretary, Clinton Eze Esq (Nsukka based lawyer)– Provost, Nwabeze Ezea Esq (Port Harcourt based lawyer)– Assistant Secretary.

In his acceptance speech, the newly elected chairman, P.C Ugwuanyi Esq promised to lead the forum effectively and efficiently to the best of his abilities.

He also harped on the need to secure a befitting secretariat for the forum to facilitate its smooth running and operation.

To this end, he promised to make the secretariat a priority and to ensure that a befitting edifice is gotten as the forum’s secretariat within five months of his administration.

Opi Lawyers Forum is the umbrella body of all lawyers who hail from Opi town or married to a person from Opi town in Nsukka LGA of Enugu State.

The Association is made up of over 100 lawyers practising across the country.
