Justice Chukwunweike A.Ogbuabor, former Chairman NBA Lagos, Chuka Ikwuazom, SAN, and the Managing Partner at Obralegal, Ikechukwu Onuoma have charged lawyers both in private practice and at the Ministry of Justice to prioritize restoring trust and hope in our Justice system.
The trio made this remark during one of the Sessions at the just concluded NBA Enugu Branch 2021 Law Week.
NBA Enugu Branch on Tuesday, being 30th November, began its Law Week, which ended on the 3rd December, with the theme “Strengthening the Judicial Process for Justice delivery in a period of National Crisis”.
Speaking on ” The Challenges In Administration Of Justice”, the panelist x-rayed the topic from personal, insecurity corruption, infrastructure, poor education of lawyers.
They charged lawyers to promote and defend the rule of law at all times.
Justice Ogbuabor spoke on the need for lawyers and the Ministry of Justice to wake up to their responsibilities, also Ikwuazom, SAN stressed the need to better regulate the profession and hold judges & Lawyers accountable, while Ikechukwu Onuoma Esq focused on the fact that the challenge we face is purely an anthropological one.
He said It is the crisis of the human person as a consequence of lack of values.
