Chairman  NBA Welfare Committee Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau SAN FCIArb, has lauded Jos Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association on the special occasion of her 2021 Law Week.

The Learned Silk in his goodwill message on Tuesday, stated that the theme for this year’s Law Week is very relevant.

He said: “I heartily felicitate with the Jos Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association on the occasion of its 2021 Law week with the theme; “Lawyers as Catalysts in Nation Building”.

“There would not have been a better time to engage learned minds on their onerous role in nation-building than now; I am not surprised that the Jos Bar chose such a theme at a time like this in our national life.

Being one of the foremost Branches in the North with a pragmatic disposition to both state and national issues, it is my belief that the team of discussants assembled for this gathering will bring their wealth of experience and intellect to bear in doing justice to the theme of this year’s law week. I know that at the end, the nation will be better for it.

“Again, I congratulate the Jos Bar for keeping to the tradition of bringing lawyers within a jurisdiction together annually to broaden their minds on emerging national and professional issues.
“I wish the Jos Bar a successful programme.
“Long live the Nigerian Bar Association!
“Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!”
