A former Captain of the prestigious IBB International Golf and Country Club, Joe-Kyari Gadzama SAN organised a golf tournament as one of the events lined up to celebrate his 60th Birthday.

The golf tournament which took place on Saturday, November 27, 2021, held at the prestigious IBB International Golf & Country Club, Abuja.
The event commenced at 8 am with a Ceremonial Tee Off by the Chairman, Board of Trustees, IBB Golf and Country Club, Maj. Gen. IBM Haruna (Rtd.)
After the golfers had swung it out on the Course, they were treated to a sumptuous lunch and provided golfing souvenirs before the prize presentation began. The Golfers waited keenly for the prize presentation as there were over 20 (twenty) trophies to be won.
As God would have it, the son of the celebrant, Mr L.J Gadzama won the Prize for the best Golfer in Division 3 (three). He had also come first in his category at the recently concluded 2021 NBA Golf Tournament in Port Harcourt sponsored by Chief J-K Gadzama.
After the award was presented to Mr L.J Gadzama, it was announced that Mr JY Cho, a counsellor at the Korean Embassy beat him with two (2) shots to emerge the overall best player at the tournament.
After the prize presentation, Chief J-K Gadzama SAN thanked all participants for honouring him at his birthday tournament. He then pledged to sponsor a project worth 15 million Naira for the club. This gesture was well-received by members of the club present.
Notable guests present were the former Governor of Kogi State, Captain Idris Wada, Hon. Yakubu Datti representing the Governor of Plateau State, H.E Simon Lalong, Sir Chika Chejina, the Vice-Captain of the club, Mr Mike Ekoja, the Company Secretary of the Nigerian Agip Exploration Company, Mr Ellis Ebohon, Chairman of the Young Lawyers Forum, Mr Tobi Adebowale, former Governor of Bauchi State, his excellency Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, and Dr Tim Mainakaya.
