The celebration of J-K @ 60 continued today, Friday, November 26, 2021, with the firm’s 14th public lecture/presentation of essays and tributes.

The theme of the lecture was “The Labour of Our Heroes Past – Our Collective Efforts to Keep Nigeria as One Indivisible Entity”, and Most. Rev. Dr. Matthew Hassan Kukah was the keynote speaker at the event.

He made passionate comments about the state of our country and how we must keep pressing on to hold the Government accountable as citizens to make the county great again. He also made comments on the brave sacrifices of our leaders, who have become our heroes, in time past and how we must emulate them to make any difference in our nation.

The chairman of the occasion was His Royal Highness, Honorable Justice Sidi Bage, Emir of Lafia. Some special guests at the event were His Royal Majesty, Oba A. O. Aladelusi Odundun II, Deji of Akure, Asiwaju Adegboyega Awomolo SAN, Emeka Ngige SAN, Kunle Ogunba SAN, Prof. Tahir Mamman SAN, Prof. Paul Idornigie SAN, Chief Mrs Victoria Awomolo SAN and Bode Olanipekun SAN.

The event was not only engaging but insightful and thought provoking. Books containing Essays by notable persons such as Prof. Paul Idornigie, SAN; Dr. Alex Izinyon; SAN; Chief Bolaji Ayorinde, SAN; Chief Mike Ozekhome, SAN; Kunle Ogunba, SAN; Atoyebi Muyiwa, SAN; Mela Nunghe, SAN; Jerry Musa, Esq.; Sarah Atumga, Esq.; and O. G. Chukkol, ACIArb as well as Tributes from some counsel-in-chambers (present and former), respectively, were presented at the event.
