Ajila Oladapo has defeated the defending Champion Olarewaju Yahaya to win the 2021 Lawyers Table Tennis Open (Mfon Usoro Cup).

Ajila who came from Oyo defeated Olarewaju the 2019 Champion from Lokoja( the event didn’t hold in 2020 because of Covid-19 restrictions) in three games in a game of five that ended at the fourth game.

He carted away the Gold trophy, Gold medal, and total cash of three hundred and thirty thousand Naira being the 250,000 donated by the sponsor for the first prize, $100 donated by Mrs. Efe Etomi, and 30,000 donated by Olusegun Fabunmi SAN

Tunji Abdulhameed, the most decorated player of the tournament came third after winning Onyeka Anionwu in the third-place match.

Titilayo Osagie again defended her title as the defending Champion after knocking out Victoria Emegebo in the finals.
Ramatu Arome came third.

The female Champion went home with a trophy and a total cash prize of 380,000 being the 250,000 given by Mfon Usoro, 100,000 by Efe Etomi, and 30,000 by Olusegun Fabunmi SAN.

The second went home with 175,000 being the 150,000 prizes from Mfon Usoro and 25,000 from Olusegun Fabunmi while the third place went home with 120,000 being the prize from Mfon Usoro’s 100,000 and Olusegun Fabunmi’s 20,000 donations.

The second prize took home 200,000 being the total sum of 150,000 by Mrs. Mfon Usoro and 25,000 by Mrs. Efe Etomi and 25,000 by Olusegun Fabunmi while the third prize went home with 145,000 being the cash prize of 100,000 from Mfon Usoro, 25,000 from Efe Etomi and 20,000 from Olusegun Fabumni.
