*Refuses To Comment On the Matter
*Says The Matter Is Pending Before NBA
*Says He Believes NBA Will Do Justice

A Jos-based lawyer, John M. Yuwa, has refused to comment on the issue between him and one Mukna’an Kingsley Gumyen, who allegedly assaulted him.

TheNigeriaLawyer recalls that there was a wild drama at Gombe Magistrate Court where the two lawyers descended on each other with blows while arguing a motion for stand down.

The two Lawyers, John Yuwa Esq and MK Gurumyen Esq drew attention of everyone within the court premises with their physical combat which let to the hospitalizations of Yuwa Esq and stitches for his torn mouth and broken jaw.

Yuwa, in an interview with the PUNCH Newspaper, said he wouldn’t comment on the matter because it is already pending before the NBA.

However, he debunked the news that he lost his tooth during the fight.

“No, it is not true; I didn’t lose any tooth but I’m recovering,” Yuwa said

He expressed optimism that he will get justice. He said, “However, all I know is that there can’t be injustice in the temple of justice. So, I’m confident that having handed the issue over to the Bar it will do justice to it. As for the opportunity to clear the air and my name, I trust God, the opportunity will come at the appropriate time. So, they will take appropriate measures.”

When asked why he did not leave the matter for NBA Gombe to handle, he said the Bar is one. According to him, he resides in and operates from Jos that’s why he chose Jos Bar. He said the division of the Bar is just for administrative convenience purposes.

“No; not that I’m not impressed. In fact, the Bar is one; the division is just for administrative convenience. I don’t have any doubt about any of the branches of the Bar; the only thing is that this (Jos) is where I reside, where I operate from.” he said
