An unidentified female has been caught on a CCTV, setting fire to Prince Ebeano Supermarket at Lokogoma district in Abuja.

The incident occurred on the night of Saturday, July 18th, 2021.

In the video shared NewsWireNGR, the lady could be seen standing by one of the aisles, looking out for passers-by before lighting a product on fire.

She immediately walked away from the scene, after which the products went up in flames, with gas cylinders above the affected shelf.

Fire fighters from Asokoro, Garki, Games Village and the National Judicial Institute in Abuja put out the fire several hours.

At the time of the incident, Mr Ibrahim Muhammad, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Federal Capital Territory Fire Service, had said the cause of the inferno was unknown.

But in the CCTV footage currently in circulation, a lady was seen at the cylinder session of the supermarket.
