The Chief Judge of Lagos State Judiciary has directed the validation of all court processes affected by the strike of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, JUSUN.

In a circular dated June 16, 2021 sighted by TheNigeriaLawyer, the Chief Registrar, Okunuga O. A. (Mrs.) said processes that could not be filed and or expired during the strike are to be refiled not later than June 30, 2021

“Consequent upon the disruption of services from 6th April, 2021 to 11th June, 2021, by the JUSUN STRIKE, the Hon. Chief Judge has directed that all Writs of Summons and other processes which could not be served and or expired during the above mentioned period and up to 15th June, 2021, shall be refiled with their existing Payment Receipts, not later than 30th June, 2021.” the circular reads in part

The Registrar warns that any affected process not refiled within the above limited time shall be paid for afresh.
