Legal And Regulatory Operations At PayStack

What you’ll be doing

You’ll:

• Document all internal and external legal requests and channel to the appropriate team member.
• Maintain a repository of Paystack’s online agreements, written templates, and regulatory correspondences.
• Handle incoming communications and be able to prioritize as well as respond appropriately on behalf of the counsel.
• Respond to requests for information and documents from our internal and external auditors, regulators, partners, and other stakeholders.
• Work closely with other members of the team to fulfill our compliance and corporate governance requirements for a growing footprint of international and domestic subsidiaries.
• Assist in the preparation of draft board and committee meeting minutes, resolutions, and agendas.
• Identify areas to improve our existing processes with technology.
• Lead or participate in projects to improve internal processes.
• Assist with special projects as needed, with the ability to work in an ever-changing environment.

What it takes to succeed at this role:

• A bachelor’s degree.
• 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• Strong communication (both written and verbal) skills.
• Strong project management skills, with attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines.
• Action and results-oriented, with the ability to demonstrate good judgment in a fast-paced, high-growth, dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.
• An open and curious mind about an evolving industry, humility, and a terrific sense of humor.
• Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals at all organizational levels.
• A positive attitude, collaborative mindset, and a desire to be part of a strong, supportive team.
