Lawyer to the assaulted security guard at banex plaza, Abuja, Samuel Ihensekhien, Jnr. Esq., has dragged the CCT Chairman, Umar Danladi to National Human Rights Commission over assault on clement sagwak.

The embattled Code of Conduct Chairman, Umar, on 29th March, 2021, was seen in a viral video assaulting a security guard clement sagwak, for asking him to repark his car which was wrongly parked.

In the Petition against Umar dated 6th April  2021, and addressed to the Secretary of the Commission, Samuel, accused of abuse of power, assault, torture and xenophobia.

However, on 9th April 2021, Samuel sent a reminder letter to the secretary of Commission, a copy of which was made available to THENIGERIALAWYER.

In the said letter, Samuel noted that “the unruly action and unprofessional conduct of the Umar, attracted the attention of passer-by and sympathizers who came to rescue Clement.

He also added that “Umar  Danladi  is bent on intimidating everyone around Clement Sagwak, who has useful information and that clement was admitted in the hospital as a result of the several beatings he received from Umar Danladi,  his orderlies, driver, and proxy.”

The assaulted security guard and his lawyer, Samuel Ihensekhien junior Esq in their reactions, further noted that the petition against Umar Danladi, is just one of the many legal steps to be taken in respect of getting justice for assaulted Clement Sagwak, as in the coming days, more legal steps will be taken to ensure justice prevails in this case, he concluded.
