Jigawa State Governor Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar has said the state has received over N47billion from the Federal Government as refund of Paris Club loan and airport project.

The governor made the disclosure on Sunday while delivering his address at the inauguration of 42- kilometre Balago to Auno road.

He hailed President Muhammadu Buhari for supporting governors with intervention funds, which led to the execution of projects. Abubakar said the state had received about N37billion from the Federal Government as refund of Paris Club loan.

He said another N10billion was received as refund to the state for the building of Dutse airport.

The Chairman, Progressive Governor’s Forum, Kebbi State Governor Atoki Atiku Bagudu, described Governor Abubakar as a pace-setter in the judicious utilisation of public funds.

He said the road would boost the socio-economic activities of the people.
