The Federal Capital Territory High Court presided over by Hon. Justice Aninih has granted bail to the detained Mr. Emperor Ogbonna.

Meanwhile, the Court admitted him to bail on the conditions of production of 2 sureties with 20 million naira in like sum, one of whom must be a civil servant not below Grade level 14, and sureties must have landed property in Abuja.

However, the Lawyers to Mr. Emperor noted that the bail conditions are stringent which may necessitate an application for variation of same.

“These bail conditions are stringent and in the event that the applicant cannot meet the conditions, we shall apply for a variation of the bail conditions.” they lawyers said

Meanwhile, the matter was further adjourned to 17th day of September 2020, in view of the court’s annual vacation which commences on Monday next week.

TheNigeriaLawyer recalls that Emperor Ogbonna has been in detention pursuant to the directive of Abia State Government over an alleged cybercrime he committed against the Governor of Abia State, Mr. Ikpeazu.
