Dear Colleagues,

This year, we commemorate Good Friday under strange circumstances.

We are in our homes compelled to distance ourselves from our neighbors and friends.

This year, we are not able to gather in Church to mark the hour when our Lord Jesus Christ made the ultimate sacrifice for us on the cross at Calvary.

For the Christian faithful amongst us, this is quite symbolic and is one of the far-reaching effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The question that comes to my mind is, what kind of persons will we be at the other end of this pandemic. As we move from the pain of Christ’s crucifixion to the joy of His resurrection, will we come out refreshed and renewed?

I pray so. Let us use this opportunity to press our individual reset buttons and place ourselves in a position to lead a better life than we did pre-COVID-19. I urge us to take steps to improve ourselves, physically, mentally and otherwise. In the midst of every adversity, there is an opportunity. Our task is to find it and seize it.

Let us do better.
