The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Akure Branch has extended the period for the payment of its local dues.

The statement made available to TheNigeriaLawyer (TNL) signed by its Chairman, Ola Dan Olawale, Esq, reads:

Dear Learned Silk, Distinguished Seniors & Colleagues,

EXTENSION OF TIME WITHIN WHICH TO PAY LOCAL DUES

Due to difficulties arising from lockdown of businesses, restriction of movement’s and the attendant economic loss, extension of time is hereby granted for payment of NBA Akure Local Due. All payments made to the branch’s GTB account between Wednesday 1stl and Friday 3rd April, 2020 shall be deemed paid as at when due. Members are encouraged to utilize this golden opportunity to pay.

It must be noted however that this extension does not cover Bar Practice Fee over which the NBA national secretariat has prerogative.
